9:15 PM: There was a report of fireworks in the area of Cleveland and Thompson Avenue. Patrol responded to the scene and was unable confirm the incident.

7:13 AM: There was a report from a resident of Grand Street about a sick raccoon on her property. Patrol responded to the scene to destroy the animal and remove it from the premises.
1:21 PM: There was a report from a resident of Fox Road that sometime overnight their “John Hall for Congress” sign was stolen the property. The matter is under investigation.
5:14 PM: Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for vehicle and traffic violations on Rt. 129. Subsequently the driver of the vehicle was charged with DWI and other violations. The driver, a 32-year-old male from Montrose, was brought to Police HQ and later released on $200.00 bail and is due in Village Court on November 1, 2006 at 9:30 AM.
October 26
Starting with a call at 5:41 AM, there were 17 separate reports throughout the day of unlocked cars being entered overnight on Hastings Avenue, Elmore Avenue, Morningside Drive, Lexington Drive, Sunset Drive, Darby Avenue, Cleveland Drive and Olcott Avenue. Police report that theft or vandalism occurred in eight of vehicles. The matter is under investigation.

8:05 AM: The owner of Nappy’s Automotive on South Riverside Avenue that sometime overnight someone spray-painted over a newly installed sign. The matter is under investigation.
12:57 PM: There was a report from a resident of North Ledge Loop about a sick or injured deer. Patrol responded to the scene and subsequently destroyed the animal and summoned Croton DPW to remove it from the area.
2:55 PM: There was a report of some youths breaking glass in Vassalo Park. Patrol responded to the scene and found that the youths in question had already begun to clean up the broken glass.

9:12 AM: There was a report from an employee of Conte Electric on Brook Street that sometime overnight a window was broken on one of their trade vans. The matter is under investigation.
11:05 AM: There was a report of an activated smoke alarm from a building in the Harmon Yard area. Patrol, Croton FD and MTA Police responded to the scene and determined that the cause of the alarm was due to someone cooking food.
10:02 PM: Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle on Rt. 9 North for vehicle and traffic violations. Upon investigation, officer arrested a male 34-year-old resident of Pompano Beach, Florida for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). The man was brought to Police HQ for arraignment while his car was towed from the scene. He was due in Village Court on September 20, 2006 at 9:30 AM.
