Croton Blog: Senior Bowling Tournament Set for April 11
Amateur bowlers 60 years of age and older can enjoy a day of exercise and camaraderie during the annual Westchester County Senior Citizen Bowling Tournament on Monday, April 11, 11 a.m., at AMF White Plains Lanes in White Plains.
Sponsored by Westchester County Parks and AMF White Plains Lanes, the tournament is open to Westchester County resident senior citizens 60 years of age and older who have a certified league average, or who have bowled three games that have been verified by lanes management, the recreation director of the bowler’s community, or a league secretary in order to establish an average for use in the tournament.
Averages will determine the division in which the player will compete. Trophies will be awarded in each division.
Awards will be presented for both scratch and adjusted handicap scores. Scratch score will take precedence. There will be a limit of one trophy per person.
Advance registration is required by Monday, April 4. Fee for three games for the tournament is $10, which includes lunch, and is payable on day of play. Rental shoes will be provided free, courtesy of AMF White Plains Lanes.
AMF White Plains Lanes is located at 47 Tarrytown Road in White Plains.
Applications are available at AMF White Plains Lanes, and at Westchester County Parks’ administrative offices, located at 25 Moore Avenue in Mount Kisco.
