Work Session Agenda – January 23, 2006 at 7:30 PM in the Village Manager’s Office at the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, located at 1 Van Wyck Street in Croton-on-Hudson (map).

  1. Discussion of flooding problems at Croton-Harmon Train Station Parking Lot.
  2. Skatepark – discussion of donation of the various ramps to the Town of Cortlandt.
  3. Phase 3 of the Comprehensive Plan – recommendations from the Comprehensive Plan Committee and request to retain consultant to assist the Committee with this work.
  4. Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial Commemoration – 2009 - Discussion of Village participation.

Many of us don’t realize that lots of important decisions are made at non-televised work sessions of the village board and the agenda for this upcoming work session is to discusss “donating the equipment from the skatepark”.

That’s our equipment, yours and mine, and we should have a say in whether it’s to be donated or not.

No public decision to close the skatepark has been made so they have no right to donate our equipment until such a public decision is made. Make sure you contact board members before the work session scheduled above.

I am not sure I am correct on this but I think Rick Herbek said at the last Village Board meeting that Item #3 on Monday’s work session agenda has something to do with “home occupations.” Given the recent discussion on another thread as to what is and isn’t a legal “home occupation,” perhaps those conducting businesses other than licensed professions and home embroidery enterprises in their homes might wish to investigate further.
