Croton Blog: Croton Police Blotter - Week of November 26th

November 26
11:13 PM: There was a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Grand Street. Patrol responded to the scene and subsequently charged one of the residents, a 25-year-old man with Assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor. The man was taken to the Peekskill jail where he remained until the next day. After posting $3000.00 bail, he was released pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
November 28
2:43 PM: Officer on patrol arrested five individuals for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana after questioning them while the group was sitting in a parked car on Benedict Boulevard. All of the individuals, including three 16-year-olds, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, were taken to Police HQ. Additionally, one of the the 16-year-old was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, a misdemeanor. Subsequently, each of the persons was released to their parents pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
November 29
12:52 PM: Officer on patrol pulled over a car traveling on Cleveland Drive for vehicle and traffic violations. Upon investigation, officer charged the passenger, a 16-year-old resident of Croton, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. The individual was taken to Police HQ and later released to his parents pending an upcoming appearance in village court.
2:35 PM: There was a report from a reident of Cleveland Drive that someone stole his bicycle from the bike rack at Croton Harmon High School sometime during the previous day. The matter is under investigation.
December 3
12:32 PM: Officer on patrol pulled over a car for vehicle and traffic violations. Upon investigation, officer arrested both occupants, a 43-year-old male resident of Croton-on-Hudson and a 37-year-old female resident of the Bronx, with Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. The driver was also charged with a Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, a felony. Both persons were taken to Police HQ and subsequently released after posting bail of $230.00 and $150.00 respectively pending and upcoming appearance in village court.

I do not appreciate my tax dollars being wasted on busting kids for smoking marijuana.
